Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and you want to get your significant other something special. A wonderful idea is to bake something from the heart. Baking shows that you took the time and effort to bake a special dessert.
Well…what to bake you ask? There are several quick and simple ideas that you can make from scratch or a box.

You can bake a few cupcakes from scratch or from a box mix. Decorate with tinted frosting and Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles or top with a strawberry or maraschino cherry.

For the person who loves chocolate, fudge brownies are always a hit. Top with a chocolate frosting with walnuts or pecans or colorful sprinkles. Or add a twist and top with pink tinted white chocolate frosting and colorful sprinkles.

Bake their favorite cookie and add Valentine’s candy or pecans or walnuts to the batter. Classic sugar cookies are always a hit, and those can be topped with buttercream frosting and sprinkles.

Once you have baked your desserts, remember that presentation is everything. Place your desserts in Valentine’s Day themed boxes, with a custom card or tag. A little bit of thought and creativity can go a long way!
